A little bit about me...

I started off as a Fashion Designer before moving into the corporate world as a Communications Manager, and after 25 years, I was longing for a change. I wanted to ‘do something completely different’ without having any idea what that would be - all I knew was that I wanted to work with people, write and speak publicly.

Then my dear Dad very sadly passed away and I found the whole funeral process to be very therapeutic; from the moment I walked into the local Funeral Director’s without a clue as to what was going on, to organising the funeral, picking the songs and speaking and singing at his service.

The Celebrant that had so perfectly honoured my dear old Dad, also conducted a service for a friend’s relative. The first thing my friend said to me afterwards was “You’d be good at that”. And so, my journey to becoming a Celebrant began and it became a calling.

I absolutely love being a Celebrant - I find it incredibly fulfilling, rewarding and without doubt, the best job in the world.

I am a fully trained Member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and, although I didn’t know it at the time, my background in Communications (where I would spend a lot of time writing and delivering presentations) has proved to be invaluable in my work as a Celebrant.

People say I’m warm, friendly and easy to talk to so I’ll put you at your ease, no matter how you’re feeling.
